Manual Cost-Per-Click Bidding

Manual Cost Per Click Bidding is the most common form of AdWords bidding and is frequently abbreviated as Manual CPC. Essentially, you define how much you are willing to pay for a click for each keyword in your account. For example, you might be willing to pay $2 for a click on “affordable housing” but only $1 for a click on “where to volunteer.” When using Manual CPC, Grantees are restricted to only being able to bid a maximum of $2 for a click. However, the new rules for 2018 allow for not only the use of maximize conversions bidding, but also the ability to go above the $2 limit when using that bid type.
